Sam's Tours Palau reviews
36Large dive center but current management and their organization skills are far from professional. Dive center is quite run down. The guides on the other site are very friendly but not contracted directly at the dive center. Might be a reason for the discrepancies in their friendliness versus the rude or uninterested behaviour compared the staff and the people which runs the dive site. Dive center needs massive renovation and a better trained management to improve the current state.
The reef tour I did with them was great. But I also wanted to go diving and to go to Peleliu. For both cases they told me: we are still scheduling we will let you know. Never heard from them again, even after calling and visiting them, they always left me in the dark if it would happen or not, very frustrating.
10 STARS! Extremely good operation and very nice and friendly staff. Special thanks to Neil for making our dives so memorable. "it is Palau, anything can happen".)
Amazing diving. Guides were helpful and safe. I dove three days with three tanks each day. Rental equipment was good and boat was perfect. I enjoyed the Bento lunches. I would recommend the grilled fish. We dove many of the best spots with great conditions on new moon days. Neil was a kind and knowledgeable guide. Thank you Sam's Tours!
Went here with my Uncle Chris for 30 days and loved it. By far the best diving anywhere in the world and Sam and his crew are the best. Hope to return soon.
We had a great time on our snorkeling tour. Our guide, June, was great with our 3 year old daughter and super knowledgeable. If you’re traveling with children, or are not dive certified, I highly recommend Sams for snorkeling!
Sam's Tours is incredibly professional and hospitable! So happy to know of a dive shop like them in Palau. Honestly the best in the biz, we won't be using anyone else during our trips!
Great spot for tours and diving trips. Did a snorkel tour where we went to jelly fish lake, a ship wreck, and shark city for $110+state permits, package includes drinks and lunch bentos.
Also got my PADI certification there too, fair price and a great location for diving trips. Their dive trips were the most cost efficient when I compared it to other spots on the island.
If you are looking for a discovery dive this is the place! Friendly staffers and it was the cheapest discovery dive price I have ever seen and I’ve done three different discovery dives.
You do not need to look any further, best tour operator on the island. The diving part of the company is impeccable, guides are knowledgeable and friendly and super chilled. The dive gear is well looked after and because of the area you dive automatically on Nitrogen with no extra cost, if you don't have Nitrogen certification it's not a problem there still provide Oxygen. The boats look great well maintained and safe. I am not gonna talk about the dives or the area, it would take to long cause it's just amazing and mind blowing.
Kayak tours are super relaxing and stress free you can even go off and explore little bays and caves by yourself and then easily return back to your group no hassle.
Super friendly and helpful staff and which is a huge understatement, there help you with anything. Picking you up and dropping you off, organizing a car or for me personally letting me change and rebook my flights so I could stay longer. Well organized and professional the recipe for great memories.
Decided to go with Sam's Tours for my Padi Open Water certification. Because of COVID and restriction of travel to Palau, most Dive shops have suffered as a result. Regardless Sams maintains a top notch experience for any person looking for certifications or wanting to go out on a dive. All the staff are friendly and welcoming and truly make you feel confortable and at home. It was a great experience learning to dive with my instructor Neil. I cant recommend Sams enough if you are looking for a reputable dive shop with a staff that will make you feel comfortable and safe at all times.
Sam’s Tours is staffed by an international team who put their guests’ experiences the TOP priority. This is seen from the time you contact their reservations team through your dives and even when you bid farewell. It also has a very friendly casual bar called Bottom Time that serves the local draft beer and awesome bar food and island specials such as their tuna poke. Love the positive vibes that this dive operation seems to reflect in every one of their staff. Must be a great place to work too! Don’t forget to try the kayak tours which are ideal for your decompression day.
Great dive tours! Spent a week here diving with them and it was amazing. Matt was an amazing instructor that advanced my training. The guides were exceptional in this exceptional place.
Absolut perfekte Basis. Guter Service und Tauchplätze mit viel Abwechslung. Boote und Ausrüstung in sehr gutem Zustand. Das Rundum Sorglos-Paket passt auch. Lockere Atmosphäre, trotzdem immer auf Sicherheit bedacht.
Freue mich schon auf das nächste mal.
Buyer beware! Sam's Tours was the only operator during the CORVID-19 pandemic that refused to refund our deposit in spite of its written "Cancellation Policy" that states, "If prior to arrival and deposit was made, 5% of deposit will be charged plus any additional hotel cancellation fees that may apply. "
They gave us 18 months to use our credit or it vanishes like a dive weight in the deep blue ocean.
All other operators on this trip, MDA divers (in Guam), rental cars, airlines, and hotels gave full refunds.
Alii and aloha to the WORLD! Sam Scott is my friend and I am so proud of Sam Scott and THIS AMAZING DIVING AND VACATION SPOT. You should be willing to dive nitrox. 2 out of 6 tanks were leaking. Especially for the prices in Palau, it should be possible to renew o-rings from time to time. Be prepared that you've a dive profile of 1st dive 18m, 2nd dive 12m and 3rd dive 30 meters. If you remark that is not ideal, they say that's your problem. Thus, they feel not responsible to make diving as secure as possible to you. Otherwise the staff was friendly and they were trying to help in their given limits.
Great place with friendly staff. Had an amazing day of kayaking and another snorkeling and seeing jellyfish lake. And I have to come back because everyone is raving about their dive trips.
Fantastic, kind, and nice crew and system.
We have joined 3 days tours (kayaking and rock island tour) with them.
Sam’s tour know the private and fantastic course in palau. Everyday we have satisfied the tour with them.
Wow.we found Manta ray passing and followed and swim with Manta️️
It is the most impressive experience during the Palau vacation!
Captain jeff and Adam are very nice!
Basically the only game in town. They run a lot of tours and day diving. The biggest outfit out in Palau. Their socks are right there in Koror. I booked a tour of the WWII sites of peleliu island and it was great.
We joined the Tarzan kayaking tour. Very nice tour guide, wonderful views, snorkeling and kayaking experience!
