Palau is not only for diving, but it's really worth investing some time to learn about its history and culture. Thus, a visit to the extremely interesting National museum is nearly a must if you have the time. There is also a nice café and souvenir shop inside to combine your visit.

A very basic museum displaying the history of Palau. Few artifacts, more of a historical facts display.

Interesting to see the history of Palau, very quiet when we showed up. One tour bus was arriving. You can walk the entire museum in 2-3 hours if you are reading in good detail. I was surprise how long Palu had been semi-occupied by others and how many time control changed hands

A MUST visit while in Palau! The archives and exhibits give a full history of Palauan culture and beginnings of settlement.

Simple and friendly explanation of Palau history. If you are into history and you have a day to spend in Koror, it is worth a visit.

An interesting place, not big but includes information on the history of the country including the various foreign administrations, and currently a small temporary exhibition on Taiwanese indigenous people. There is a shop with a good range of souvenirs, a cafe which produced a decent cup of coffee, a small garden with a pond and a reconstructed bai. Entry $10. A short walk from the centre of Koror. Worth a look.
